Author of "The Streak", considered by many the golden age of Sequoia athletics, 33 consecutive wins and four SPAL football titles from 1958-61, a Peninsula record. Football and track standout at Mountain View High, Piedmont High and Santa Rosa JC; tailback for Coach Red Sanders at UCLA (1949-52). Sequoia honors include SPAL Coach of the Year, 1958-61; Northern California Coach of the Year, 1960; North Shrine Coach, 1961. Backfield Coach at Washington State (1964-65), California (1966-70); Head Coach, Cabrillo College, winning five Coast Conference championships (1972-79), and Northern California championship (1979). California Community College Coach of the Year, 1979; member, Community College Sports Hall of Fame, Coaches' Hall of Fame, San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame. Resides in Aptos with wife, Jean.
