Sequoia Veterans Memorial Nears Fundraising Goal!
Over $27,000 Has Been Raised Towards $30,000 Goal

We need about $3,000 more in donations to finish the monument and another $2,000 in donations to fund the dedication ceremony and reception scheduled for: Saturday, September 17, 2005, 11 a.m., at the Sequoia Campus, across from Carrington Hall. - See photos from the dedication!

This event is co-sponsored by the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission.

Below are three ways you can donate to honor a family member, friend or teacher; however donations of any amount are gratefully accepted.

1) A $100 donation will purchase a dedication stone engraved with your name and the name of the person you wish to honor and placed in a path to the monument;
2) A $1,000 donation will purchase a tree to be planted near the monument and marked with a plaque naming the honoree and donor, or
3) A $3,000 donation will purchase a stone bench to be placed near the monument and marked with a plaque naming the honoree and donor.

The person memorialized with a dedication stone, tree, or stone bench does not need to have attended Sequoia or served in the military.

The Gold Star list to be engraved on the monument includes the names of all Sequoia students who died while serving in the military.
